Faculty Interviews
Interviews were conducted with new assistant professors in the Colleges of Science and Engineering in the fall of 2003 and the fall of 2004. This study examines the factors influencing new science and engineering faculty in their decision to come to Virginia Tech and also examines what issues are most important to these new faculty members.
Female associate professors and a comparable group of male associate professors in Virginia Tech's Colleges of Science and Engineering were also interviewed in fall 2003.
