
Virginia Tech is the recipient of a five-year ADVANCE Institutional Transformation grant from the National Science Foundation designed to increase the participation and advancement of women in academic science and engineering careers by changing institutional culture and practices.
Mission
AdvanceVT is a comprehensive program to promote and enhance the careers of women in academic science and engineering at Virginia Tech through institutional transformation. Elements of AdvanceVT include:

Activities
Programs target graduate students preparing for faculty careers, new faculty just starting out, senior faculty preparing for leadership roles, search committees, department heads, and senior administrators.
